Living Out Christ's Compassion by Bearing Each Other's Burdens

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." -  Galatians 6:9

Today, the Holy Scripture in Galatians 6:9 encourages us to be perseverant and faithful in doing good, even when the results are not immediately visible.

Doing good is integral to a Christian’s life because it aligns with God’s will by reflecting His nature, fulfilling His commandments, advancing His purposes, and serving as a witness to the world. It is not only an act of obedience but also a way to glorify God and bring His love and kingdom to those around us. Through doing good, Christians live out their faith authentically and participate in God’s redemptive work in the world.

 - Ephesians 6:1-4

In this second series in the Holy Scripture, Ephesians 6:1-4 highlights the importance of family relationships within the Christian faith, emphasizing mutual respect, responsibility, and alignment with God's will.

Overflowing Hope: Embracing the Love of God Through the Holy Spirit

"and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
- Romans 5:5

1. The Assurance of Hope

"Hope does not disappoint us" highlights how dependable Christian hope is. Paul discusses in the verses before this one how suffering leads to character, tenacity, and ultimately, hope. This hope is grounded in the assurance of God's promises and is neither hollow nor unfounded. It assures Christians that their faith won't result in disillusionment or shame.

Hope is also the central message of the coming Jubilee that, in accordance with an ancient tradition, the Pope proclaims every twenty-five years. My thoughts turn to all those pilgrims of hope
